Legal form and purpose
Fondation BCV deuxième pilier was founded by Banque Cantonale Vaudoise and is recognized as a pension fund under Articles 80 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code (CC) and Article 48.2 of the Federal Law on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (known as LPP in French and BVG in German).
The Fund is based in Lausanne. It provides and manages occupational pension plans for companies so that they can insure their employees against the financial consequences of retirement, disability and death.
Pursuant to Article 48.1 of the LPP, the Fund is listed on the occupational pension plans registry. It also contributes to the LPP Guarantee Fund.
Fondation BCV deuxième pilier is a collective fund.
Current situation
The Fund currently works with 737 companies, together representing 8,222 working members at 31 December 2010. At the end of 2010, we had total assets of CHF 823 million.
